Due to our ongoing growth within the UK, we are recruiting for a qualified Solicitor to join our Legal team in the Southwest, Bristol.

As the Commercial Head of Legal (UK)] you’ll have an exciting and varied role. The Commercial Head of Legal will be a recognised expert within the organisation, that draws upon comprehensive knowledge and a deep understanding of this discipline to apply expertise to the most complex and challenging assignments. This role sets direction in their area of specialty, with scope and influence extending across the organisation.

What your day-to-day will be:

• Lead the Commercial Legal function at Framatome Ltd by supporting on bids and day-to-day legal matters.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s legal policies and regulatory requirements procedures are communicated and complied with.
•  You shall provide legal guidance / advice and expertise in corporate governance, compliance, and risk management, individuals in these roles help to protect the interests of Framatome its shareholders, and other stakeholders.

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience:

• A Commercial Solicitor of at least 12 years PQE (gained either In-House or at a Top Tiered Law Firm)
• Experienced in providing legal advice on complex, highly regulated projects
• Knowledge of Export Control and UK, EU and US Sanctions Regimes is required
• You must be experienced with instructing external Counsel when necessary
• Previous experience of performing work in in the Nuclear Sector is desirable
• Strong knowledge in contracts and torts law
• Demonstrated experience in the advisory and legal management of complex industrial schemes (JVs, consortium, partnerships)
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and understanding complex IP agreements
• Knowledge of NECs would be a plus
• Tactful, management of priorities
• Delivering an executive message to top management, good communications skills
• Successful background in an international group with cultural diversity
