Your missions
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018 in charge of the design and the realisation of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide.
In particular, EDF EPR-E UK is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and preparing the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project.
At HPC we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
The main activities of the Technical Governance Coordination lead are as follows:
· To own and pilot the technical decision-making process, in compliance with HPC project organisation;
· To participate in the arbitration and prioritisation of technical topics;
· Coordinate stakeholders throughout the business to ensure buy-in and agreement from all relevant parties;
· Support the teams in the preparation of topic presented to technical committees (NIAM, CMB, CCB…), by ensuring practical organisation, collection and sharing of papers, and also by providing guidance regarding the content of papers;
· Organise a weekly forum (NIAM – Nuclear Island Architect Meeting) for multi-disciplinary exchanges and convergence on complex issues, chaired by Edvance HPC Technical Director;
· Ensure that decisions are formalised and traced appropriately in a timely manner;
· Propose and implement improvements to existing working practices;
· To coordinate or lead technical topics depending on project needs;
