CNNC FRAMATOME Shanghai Tubing Company Limited (CAST) is a Sino-French joint venture established in 2010 by China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), a large state-owned enterprise in China, through its subsidiary and Framatome France.

CAST focuses on the production and sale of zirconium alloy cladding tubes, an important component for China’s civil nuclear power plants. CAST is a key enterprise in the Songjiang District of Shanghai. It has a workforce of 165 employees.

As a Production support department Manager:

• You assist the Operations Manager performing his responsibilities and perform them when he is missing.
• You ensure the safety of the personnel under your responsibility by the application of procedures, the realization of field visits and the follow-up of the 5S.
• You take charge of Production Support Department’s day-to-day management and arrange, assign and inspect the department’s work, report the work to the superior timely and effectively.
• You formulate the development plan, management procedure and operating documents necessary for the functional management of Production Support Department and ensure they comply with relevant Chinese laws and regulations and the management requirements of CNNC and Framatome for controlled companies.
• You implement and carry out laws, regulations, and provisions related to environmental protection and safety protection.
• When assisting relevant departments to review newly-built, rebuilding, expanding, technology import, and technical reform projects, you review the assessment on labor safety and hygiene and environment, and you carry out “Three Simultaneity” system according to national regulation.
• You participate in investigation and analysis of major accidents, and adopt technical measures so as to enhance production safety.
• You inspect and evaluate the work of employees in Production Support Department to ensure they perform their duties effectively.
• You define and follow the budget of your perimeter.
• You are responsible for the performance evaluation of Production Support Department’s employees and their personal development appraisal.
• You organize the temporary keeping and management of Production Support Department’s technical files.
• You take charge of the interface work management between Production Support Department and other departments of the company.
• You make sure that no defective products are supplied to customer at targeted cost by workshop cost control and workshop QSE control.
• You are responsible for the respect of quality qualified parameters.
• You are a fully support of solving issues on quality/productivity coming from production.

CAST is a Sino-French joint venture, the company language is Chinese and English.

Expatriate position in Shanghai, seconded by Framatome.

Bachelor Degree or above, majored in engineering, preferably in metallurgy.

Over 5 years experience in R&D or PE or Production Manager.

Competencies in Metallurgy, QSE, laboratory and HR management.

Be compliant in cross cultural environment. Be reactive, having good decision making and executive ability.

Proficient English in comprehending, speaking, reading and writing.

Demonstrate ability to maintain absolute confidentiality with discretion. Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy and follow through.
